Do you know how long it takes for just a single ingredient in a pesticide to be approved? About 10 years! Is this rigorous testing process really happening for all of the chemicals in our food, air, water and products? Is it being done honestly and adequately?
What does this mean for the cells of the body and are we putting enough emphasis on this topic with our clients and audience?
Chemicals and toxins are present everywhere and it’s quite alarming. Our food, drugs, water, air, body products and even supplements are likely to contain compounds known to do harm to the human body. Cancer rates have skyrocketed in the last few decades. In fact, since 1960, cancer rates of individuals under 50 have increased with each generation. Not only have they increased, but as of 1990, each generation's cancer rates have increased dramatically. When we see dramatic spikes, we must look at a few things: Testing Measures and Environment. While advanced testing can account for higher detection, it alone doesn't explain the numbers. For this, we must look at what has changed in our environment.
Our FOOD, AIR, WATER, BODY PRODUCTS and MEDICATIONS have changed the environment that we reside in and also altered the environment of the Gut Microbiome. Studies have identified a significant increase is 14 different types of cancers, 8 of which are related to the digestive system.
What could be leading to these weaker guts and suseptability of disease? Overuse of pharmasuticals, poor FDA approval processes and loopholes, chemicals in our air and water and of course processes, chemical laden "foods."
