Mending our Mindset About Bacteria Part 1.

Killing too many “Germs”

What did we do?

“Germ” is a term that implies “BAD SCARY INFECTIOUS DEATHLY>>>> when in reality it is merely a general term with a negative connotation. This unfortunate misunderstanding has caused us to bring into fruition the very thing we believe we’re running from; SICKNESS AND DISEASE.

“GERMS ARE BACTERIA AND BACTERIA ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR HEALTH”

When we kill bacteria, we kill what I fondly refer to as our “Microbiome Militia.” The microbiome isn’t just the Gut, it is actually the collective bacterial ecosystem throughout every area of the internal and external body. Your microbiome consists of so many different bacterial species that orchestrate multiple functions. Each species has a “job” and many work together to achieve optimal health. You have a special bacterial community in your nose, a different one on your face and a whole different group in your lungs, on your eyes and so on. These different areas of the body are home to different microbial communities, designed to care for each location, providing various functions, specifically protection.

IDEALLY, EACH MICROBIOME WOULD BE BALANCED AND HIGHLY PROTECTIVE.

Since man has evolved in cleanliness, we’ve avoided many common, deadly pitfalls of the past such as cholera and we now bathe daily instead of seasonally… I won’t complain there.

Where some is good…. more is better right?

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG (pretend we added 4,254 more wrongs and you get the point)

Too much “sanitation” has destroyed our Microbiome Militia. We’ve added bacteria killing chlorine to our water, put antibiotics in our animal meat, pesticides on our plant foods, vaccinated for everything under the sun and lathered from head to toe in antibacterial sanitizer. Both children and adults have been overprescribed antibiotics and every surface we touch is cleaned with bacteria mutilating, chemical cleaners.

The biggest problem with this “Clean world” is not just that exposure to these toxic chemicals is killing our strong, protective, cancer and disease fighting bacteria, but that it also doesn’t kill the worst bacteria of all. The strong bacteria that make us really sick. The stuff like hospital acquired Staph infections. These Super Bugs evolve BECAUSE OF, not IN SPITE of antibiotics and antibacterial usage.

THESE SUPER BUGS EVOLVE BECAUSE OF NOT IN SPITE OF ANTIBIOTICS AND ANTIBACTERIAL USAGE.

European history documents the affluent population becoming measurably sicker and sicker as their access to frequent bathing and social isolation grew. This is because the true immune system didn’t get a chance to practice and get strong. The poorer communities of children, frequently exposed to other children were sick less even in environments that were more “dirty.”

It’s becoming safe to state that “IT ISN’T THE BACTERIA MAKING US SICK, IT’S OUR WEAKENED IMMUNE SYSTEMS FROM KILLING ALL OF OUR BACTERIA.”

If we want to experience optimal health, we must stop killing the “germs” and instead of fighting the bad bacteria by attempting to kill them, we must grow the good bacteria that will do the job for us.

Weakening the bacteria responsible for ridding the body of cancer cells isn’t a great plan to avoid cancer and wiping out majority of the immune system bacteria in the gut isn’t a great way to overcome an illness or avoid the severity of a virus. In a confused attempt to protect ourselves from sickness and disease, we have shot our guard dogs.

It’s not to late to put the ANTI-bacterial-biotic etc. gun down and feed those dogs some steak.

Grass finished, organic steak preferably.
